I’m going to make a prediction now. McDavid and the goalies will be a distraction all season and the oilers will suffer for it.
Four goals is good enough to win most, if not all games, when your defensive system is engaged. Many defensive clearing attempts were downright terrible.

It would be nice to see Samanski play a full game on that top line in place of Frederic. Samanski is also big and likely has better playmaking finish/hockey IQ paired with those two elite; particularly with Drai his German bro.
Was skeptical at first, and they were playing against AHL players lastnight, but that #1 line is pretty cool – gives an open, fresh look to the rest of the lines; almost like you got 2 teams. Giving extra clarity to who's performing and developing in the bottom 6. Perhaps every once in a while depending on performance you exchange Fredric for the likes of the aforementioned Samanski – or Savoi, Howard, Podz, Kapanen, Mangiapane; gives those bottom 6 guys extra motivation to play well to earn icetime on the dream team line.
How are you supposed to pick up a goalie on waivers and send him down to Bako- the waiving team would just reclaim him and have the Lavoie situation all over again

I have trouble watching Skinner play and to see him struggle again is inexcusable. When you think about the goalies should be the sharpest already they are the one player that gets the most touches in camp and the captain skates
I think what gets most fans is this will be the third straight year he’s come to camp and struggled
When it’s comes Picks I don’t care that he’s loved in the room this is a business of winning and we are not winning a cup if he was the starter. He need someone that can push Skinner and hopefully push Skinner right out of town
