Flyers Daily with Jason Myrtetus: Back with a Monday with Meltzer edition of Flyers Daily to look back at the week that was in both Flyers training, camp, and the preseason, plus I’ll look at ahead at the coming week. We dissect where the big? Marks reside, who needs to show more and who has looked good so far.

Sanheim is not a top D man , when are they going to finally admit it, they hang on too long , he's another Provy.
Could Dvorak be the new Mike Knuble?
Bump mishandling the puck with less than 4 seconds left in the first, which ended up with a goal for the bruins was head scratching. Grebenkin has already shown he’s more reliable. Don’t see what everyone else does in Bump unfortunately.
I think there was a lot to like about the Flyers game against Boston. Ersson looked small on every big chance. I'm a fan of his but it gets harder to keep being one all the time.
You guys seemed to forget that Jett just came off a groin injury
Jason, I love the Flyers and am very happy hockey is back! I don't want to be a downer but I want to put some things into perspective based on you conversation with Bill today. What I heard is the players with the best chance to make the roster is a borderline NHL player in Rodrigo Abols and a highly flawed forward in Nikita Grebenkin, who at least scores once in a while. This is very concerning. If these two players are the best of the group of young players and AHL players vying for open roster spots, what does that say about state of the Flyers? And this is only pre-season against half NHL rosters. What are Abols and Grebenkin going to do against full NHL rosters? The Flyers are going into this season with two below average goalies, three 2nd pairing defenseman with Risto hurt, a 3rd pairing defenseman, and then pick from a group of AHL defenseman, and no new blood up front except for Zegras and Dvorak. Add to that Luchanko has to stay even though he has not earned it (very disappointed in his performance so far) because going back to a bad Guelph team does nothing to help his development. This is not shaping up with be a good year. I am gearing myself up to just stat watch Michkov and hope he and Zegras provide the entertainment for this season, because I don't see much else to look forward to. Please tell me I am missing something?
Several Flyers looked better against Boston but it was mostly a Boston AHL team and I am still concerned about the goaltending.
Luchenko looked better last season, he doesn't look as conformable so far this year.
So who ends up replacing Briere, Jones, and Tocchet?
Jett has a back injury they are not disclosing
Ginning plays better than Grans and I'd like to see McDonald get the nod for third pairing despite his flaws. We need his size and grit on the back end!
