Jack Bech wore #7 at the Senior Bowl to honor his late brother, and then with 7 seconds remaining, the TCU receiver caught the the game-winning touchdown.
Bech’s older brother Tiger, who wore #7 at Princeton, was killed in the New Year’s attack in New Orleans one month prior.
“I can’t wait to show you the big things I will do in this world,” Jack wrote in a tribute to Tiger. “With you right there by my side being my Guardian Angel in every moment ‘till the end of time.”
Before the Senior Bowl, Jack was named the American team’s top receiver, as voted by the defensive backs competing against him.
Then he tallied 6 catches for 68 yards, including the 2-yard walk-off from Memphis quarterback Seth Henigan
Bech was named MVP of the game, which the American team won 22-19.
Next for Jack is the NFL combine.
