I think Roy is waiver exepmt for this season, no reason not to give him a chance in Laval again if needed.
Well to start with Roy doesn’t need waivers, one more year in Laval would be good for him…
Leafs can put Jarnkrok on waivers, he is useless. Kampf also could be put on waivers and use the money to sign Kuznetsov. Any advantage the Leafs can do, so Florida does not improve their roster.

The Kings have way more cap space than Vancouver will next year
Unfortunately for Roy, his ceiling is a 3rd or 4th liner. Montreal doesn't have room for him higher than that. Best bet, he goes to a team like SJ, Boston, Pitt, etc and gets a chance in the big leagues.

If the Panthers put Barkov on LTIR and use his cap space, he can still play in the playoffs, they just have to not play other players that equal or exceed his cap hit.

Hey Mike, with a lot of teams needing the same thing this off season, namely a second line center, do you feel at all that it's possible the NHL has a talent shortage? I know these things go in cycles, but it just seems that teams couldn't get what they wanted for blood nor money. I mention this too in light of possible near future expansion.
Vancouver has woke interfering owners in the Aquilinis. They have always been the problem here since they bought the team.
