  1. Pauline had the fastest middle split by far. What an awesome target she gave Syd who had the fastest finishing and ending splits

  2. Without a doubt the greatest women 400 m race of all time, not only with regard to the three top runners. If I remember correctly, all eight finalists were below 50 seconds. Even Naser's time as third had not been reached by any woman in the previous 40 years, except by herself.

  3. Los carriles de enmedio son decisivos en los metros finales fue un error del entrenador y de marileidy Paulino dejarse salir ese carril tiene toda las ventajas

  4. They claim that Sherik Jackson is a beast in track and field and are not normal, in which she never brake any record in all her greatness, but this woman Sydney McLaughlin, who sattered records left, right and center in the most abnormal and consistent way is never seen in any way abnormal, nor seen as a beast, but this is slum USA for you, if any Athlete that are not from Slum USA beat them you must got to be taking something illegal that is against the rules of the sport, or you have too much of everything inside of you that need to be corrected, so your creator given body of to be transfrm to suit their request for you to be qualified to compete as a normal Athlete in their book, while Athlete of the same questionable means from Slum USA goes unchecked and slide under the radar, that is Slum USA and their double standard, and double edges sword, argument done

  5. She will break the WR at the next event if it's not pouring down rain. It is scary to think she is only going to get better. She just started this event. She may end up under 47 seconds by the next olympics.

  6. The first time in a long time I was scared for Sydney! She did great!! Love her but hear me out if Paulino works on her form especially when she burning out bruh we USA have a problem for sureeeeeeeee next time

  7. Back in 1968Lee Evans ran on cinder track 43 seconds and some change and then the south broke Michael Johnson record in the 400 in lane 8? But the women i remember when the record was set back in 1980 of 47 seconds.. I didn’t ever think women would ever approach that time . But new training techniques and Coach Bobby Kerse coaching Sydney is right on the door step of breaking the world’s record . Especially been pushed but running those in 400 intermediate hurdles made her stronger. Did you see that extra push at the end I was up on the edge of my seat. Now I ran the 440 yard dash in college and my best time as a man was 47.3 and she’s a woman that just ran 47.80? Simply incredible like Michael Jordon we’re witnessing the greatest female athlete in the history of track n field .. I hope I’m around to see her break it .. Simply my favorite. I’ve followed her through high school, college at Kentucky and then the Olympics. But not only she great but beautiful model like with grace.just a great combination her parents and siblings and husband and the whole entire world is washing one of the greatest ambassadors for the sport. Amen

  8. One thing is Sydney the legend, other thing is Rob Walker the legendary British commentator. Just elevated this race by the quality of his commentary.

  9. Nuestra bandera. Es. Único. Y. Representa. Mucho. Para. Nosotros. Los. Panameños. Nunca. Vimos. Nuestra. Bandera. Mejor. Siga. Representó a tu. Bandera. América

  10. Sydney is capable, without injuries and more practice, to run a time a around 46,70. And with that time she could run in many men's finals and wouldn't be last. Of course not at the World Atletics or at Olympia, but at many men finals around the world.

But even first round at the World Atletics or at Olympia would be possible. Especially when you consider that the male runners before her would push her to new world records towards 46,00 sec.

  11. It's easy to answer your question, about how are 400m Hurdler, can conquer the flats? She has trained for the same distance, she has more power,by consistently elevating and springing.

  12. Only three women ran under 48sec in the 400m history. Two of them did this during this final.

Marileidy Paulino ran the third fastest race in the 400m history, and didn't even win it 😭
