Newhook on PK is his only potential Role. His skill set makes him meh in all other roles. All he has is speed, can't shout worth shit. Useless on FO. Can't see him on the team when they really contend.
Penalty Kill is a badge of honor at training camp. Being a top tier, PK will leave the Habs in playoff contention. Newhook can be 20 goals + 20 at that will be key. Go Montreal Go…🍻
You guys have no clue what wins play off hockey this team has the wrong coaching for team toughness and play in the edge WOW amazing how clue less you guys are when it comes to playoff hockey they are coached and built now for the regular season they are a long ways away from tough playoff hockey on the branch and behind the bench
I said many times Newhook's speed reminds me of Paul Byron and if he can develop his stick check abilities he will get a lot of break-aways. And if he plays with Evans who is awesome at take-aways and can spring Newhook loose for even more. If Dach can stay healthy he has the skills to be our 2C for a long time. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!
Newhook is literally the only one who can gain the zone effectively every single PP we have. And he's on PP2…
If I'm not mistaken, Dach never put up pts centering a good line. He got pts playing wing on the Suzuki line.
Alex Newhook didn’t have a lot of luck finishing last year. Give him a chance!
Newhook is not a passer and he got 0 finishing skills he had so many chances and only ended with 26 playing 3rd and sometimes second line did is just fast he ain't got no skills !

I hope they give Dach 25-30 games to see what he's got.
All I know is that when the season starts, I'm not going to watch the Sick podcast because I dont want to hear Marinaro drone on and on about Dach's faceoff percentage after the 1st 7 games.
Too much hype all around for this exciting young team…Dach is the question for 2C. Newie is great on entry on the PP, give him a chance on #2. Keeping his ice time up on the PP also.
You guys, and most of the habs fans, are crazy… Not stupid, crazy; as in overhyped. Look. Compared to the last 30 years, its probably the best team we had. And because we are used to suck like shit, we suddenly LOOK super hot. But lets face it. Anyone who knows the slightest little bit about hockey know that the success of a team relies on its goatender, then the center line, then the defense. Our best goaltender is some nobody who was dumped in the garbage and we got him up for free. Our first center is really good, but he's not superstar stuff like Crosby, Lemieux, Macinnon and so on. I don't think he can change the course of a game by himself. But he's not far so there is hope that he will continue to get better. Beside him whats our centerline??? Ouch… Our best one is Dach… A guy that wasn't able to crack the lineup in Chicago and was playing most games in the bleechers… THAT is our second best center? Our thrid is below average anywhere else. We do have a luxury 4th center thou. He's probably one of th ebest 4th in the league. But that's not what you want to win. Then there's the D… Hutson is a superstar allready. I think he will become even better than Makar. Dobson, I think the corrupt media, like they have been doing for the last 30 years, are brainwashing you and selling you hope more than anything substantial. Not saying he sucks like Dach and who's that other guy that we had high hope and let us down big time… (newhook). But there are thongs that are not convincing at all. Most Isles fans are trying to warn us to keep our expectations low. There's a reason for it. Until he shows us what he can do, i will refrain from thinking we will win the cup. Just like for Newhook and dach who were both supposed to be the next 8th world wonder but who didn't do shit, evaluating a team based on hopes is not the way to go at all. We'll take it if any hopes transform into reality, but guy, come on! Stop drooling on players who proved so far that they aren't worth anything. Guhle? Very good. Matheson? OK (relax he only had ONE single great season in his career). Reinbacker ? Another one which we keep hearing he is phenomenal but everytime I see him play, he's absolutely not jawdroppping. Over hyping again from the media? probably. Well maybe we have an outstanding team on the wongs to compensate for our clear lack of talent in the most important positions. Demidov? Probably a concession player. He's already a superstar i think. Caufield? Very good player. Not as good as the media are selling him thou. There are still too many holes in his game to really be tagged a star. Retardsky? facepalm This guy sucks from head to toes. I don't understand how the fans can be so stupid to believe the hit the media is selling them. The guy has not a clue about how to play. His hockey IQ (and his human IQ) is so low, no wonder he can bable nonsense and don't even understand the words the habs organization put in his mouth to spew at us in interview. He keeps saying good stuff in front of the camera (while still looking like a retard), but 10 minutes later when he is on the ice, he is doing nothing that he just said he is going to do… Its been 3 years! "ho this year i gota start playing in october"… HE doesn't wake up until april. "I wanna play like Tkachuk". Yet he got like 5 checks in the next 10 games… He is not good at all right now, and we will never get better. Mark my words. Laine…. its Laine. In a full stack team, in a designated hitter role, he can be really usefull. Otherwise, unless he changes who he's always been , he will still be painfull to watch. As for the others, all 3rd or 4th line material. Nothing to really stand out and help you win in playoffs… So in short what do we have? A full 1st line that have nothing to eny any other team in Caufield, Suzuki and Demigod. Out second line? Composed of question marks at best. Third and fourth? Your average middle of the mix team. Defense? Above average overall, but again, that is taking into account the potential, not the real TODAY's value. Too many question marks again. Reiny hasn't shown us what we are sold, and Dobby is a real unknown. Might be a gem, might be a poisoned gift. If we only look at the sure values, meh… Nothing oustanding (beside Hutson). Goalies, i don't even wanna talk about him and the way every idiots out there over estimates hims. Dobes is for me already better than him. Fowler? Too soon to judge. RIGHT NOW, we still suck at this position.

Can anyone explain to me why everyone is so high on New Jersey. Isn't their number 1 goalie Jake Allen?
I say it since we acquired Newkook, he makes me think of Lehkonen. Everybody wanted to trade Lehky when he had trouble finishing the plays but he was incredible on the ice without the puck. Couple years of experience later he became a great goal scorer and everybody didn't want to trade him. Don't give up on Newhook too soon!
Go Dach Go. I hope he can do it at center…or at least stay away from injuries and be a good winger…
Honestly, we have the best 4th line in the league. Our line up top to bottom is amazing. Exciting times for us habs fans.
No Thank-You. I'd rather stick with Kirby and our youth! Dach/Newhook/Evans even!! Try them all if Dach goes down again. And Incease Dachs Value if he can stay healthy. 👌🤞🤞🤞
