Not true. Laughton 4 pts and Lorenz not minor leaguers. And Pinto for Ottawa not a minor leaguer as well. They were the difference makers.
The superstars already know they have their roster spots locked in. They're just there to skate the rust off from the summertime, while trying to make it through, without getting hurt. The minor league guys are scratching and clawing for a spot in the show.
This is awesome! Excited to see Rymer in a Leafs Jersey again, I hope it works out..I would definitely play Rymer behind stolarz instead of Hildaby, In the absence of Woll.
Reimer is TERRIBLE ! Also, the leafs window is NOW. They need a true number one D or it's out in two rounds again. Trade Reilly, Cowan and a 2nd for a top their guy like Werenski. Put Jankrok on the 4th line with Lorentz and Laughton. Those two had a combined 7 points yet somehow Cowan, their other lineman only had ONE!
You can't win a cup without a top tier dman. Reilly is not that. He is so bad. The other night he finally decides to take two slappers from the point BUT into guys' shin pads. Then he had a clear lane to the net and dishes off. THEN on the ice for the ot goal against. Yet, we are to believe he will be better/different this year? FFS
Relax dudes, Montreal stars wasn’t trying, why should they in a meaningless game, they made the team already, the leafs were playing hungry rookies and some bubble players so way more incentives for leafs to play a good game.
If Cowan, Lorentz and Laughton keep playing the way they are then they are a 3rd line.
