Wrong. Reese is riding on Clark’s coattails. Her games get average numbers. Clark’s games are garnering the biggest numbers in the history of the game.
And she is not in Clark’s league as a player. She’s a moderately skilled low post banger. Clark is a generational talent with long range shooting skills the women’s game has never seen before. She is the female Steph Curry.

These ignorant people are only making this comparison due to race. Because Bird and Magic were different races. Nothing more. There’s no other comparison to be made.
Caitlin’s individual accomplishments are words beyond anything Angel Reese has ever or will ever accomplish. Caitlin Clark is solely responsible for the increase in attendance, viewership and merchandise sales. The other is just another player among hundreds more.
To drive the point home, Bird nor Magic needed to go out of their way to attach their name to the others in order to get attention. They got attention on their own. Meanwhile Reese goes out her way to attach herself to Cailtin Clark’s name every chance she gets. It started with the juvenile ring pointing, which didn’t involve any of the other Iowa team members — only the one that was getting all the attention — and has continued into the WNBA.
The cold hard truth is, without all these obvious attempts to draw off Clark’s name and popularity, the masses would not even know Angel Reese’s name. Conversely, Clark never needed to leverage Angel Reese or any other player’s name.
This is NOT a rivalry. Because it’s only on one side. And the other party isn’t bringing anything to the table other than a terrible, hateful attitude and clear jealousy.
Notice that the overwhelming majority of media pundits desperately trying to create a rivalry are the same race as Angel Reese and/or previously known naysayers of Clark. That should tell anyone with half a brain all they need to know. Because player comparison wise, this is one-sided in Caitlin Clark’s favor.
There’s a lot of reality distortion going on here.
