Jay's have a starting pitchers problem. Bieber became the sixth starting pitcher. To avoid a six man rotation Lauer, the SP with 9-2 W/L, ERA 3.2, the top performing SP was set down for 10 days and replaced by SPs with lower performance. No reason for dropping Lauer was given. VIP SP, with the Highest ERA doesn't allow other pitchers to converse with him, on days he pitches. It seems Lauer may have broken the "Don't talk to me" rule and received a 6 stitches in the face souvenir.
The result is the Jays are approaching playoffs with their best SP not in the rotation. Doesn't look like the Jays will be a serious contender this fall.
