Sens will need him. Ullmark is good but can be injury prone and streaky. Need to know the back up is solid and can step up and even push Ullmark.
He’s calm no pressure if anything having Ulmark as the starter takes pressure off him he’s not the one who has the bigger contract.

I’ve always had a feeling that Ottawa’s reputation as a “goalie graveyard” comes from the sneaky weight of the pressure generated by this market… fans, media, expectations. In a market like Toronto, all anyone ever talks about is the pressure, so at least guys aren’t surprised by it. But here, I think it catches players off guard and for a goalie, where the mental game is everything, it can be tough to adjust quickly. I think even a veteran goalie like Ullmark took some time to adjust to it last year. That’s why Andy was the lone successful goalie for a long time here, because he was so chill. That’s why I have so much faith in Leevi, because aside from his talent, he’s shown that his mental fortitude is just as strong. He’s our goalie of the future no doubt.
Merilainens going to outshine ullmark too bad we didn't know how good merilainen was we could've saved 8 million a year and forsberg and merilainen combo last year was phenomenal the team played better with these two guys
I'm not I pressed with ullmark think he's a has been WAS a vesina winning goalie we just barely seemed by last year when we could've been on top but they pulled merilainen to put ullmark back in net we were losing games til he got his groove back
