Did you see the sharks new 3rd jersey?
Good 🤓
Solid player, 40 pts, 20G, guy can play both sides of the puck, good keep for MTL, can see that guy becoming a solid 50pt TWF on their second line in his future, underrated talent
Is there a site/place we can see the rankings of averaged height for the NHL squads? Of course the league is moving smaller and faster but Montreal is definitely going for the extreme.
Remember got drafted by buffalo in the 5-6th round i think he’s was traded or waived but ended up in calgary and got waived again got claimed by MTL and now he’s putting back to back 20 goal seasons great signing
I like the contract because the term and cap hit isn't crazy and he can be traded if some of the young guys develop quicker than expected.
Good deal always loved paul Byron even when he was a flame he’s still relatively young and he’s a great skater and a good accurate shot and a great PK guy and a hard worker and a guy people look up to because he really had to work to get where he is now and he’s a beast and he’s really made a name for himself in Montreal and he’s definitely deserving of this deal
Byron was the best player when he played against the devils
There are guys out there who can score many goals for your team, but when they fall in a cold streak, they are invisible or hurt the team" cough cough Pacioretty *cough cough*.
A VERY solid player. Turned from waiver pick up to a 20 goalscorer. Can play every offence position, and a dependable PK man. Nice to see him stay in MTL. One of my favorite players in MTL.
To Kotkaniemi: I'm really not sure if he get sent back to Finland. My feelings tells me that they will keep him in MTL. It will be interesting.
BerGy boy just cares that he speaks French
Drouin can get 20 easily, Weber could get 20 in a full season,Byron can get 20, Domi could get 20,Tatar could score 20 and so could Gallagher
Congrats. Still going to get pumped by the leafs non stop for the next decade.
I needed good news like this today!
I love you, Paul Byron! ♥
This is the best deal Bergevin's ever done, in my extremely, unapolegetically, unashamedly very biased opinion.
Just seen a Missauga IceDogs jersey being worn at a Bracknell Bees game here in UK. Hockey truly is a global family.
Not a lot of 20 goal scorers… but MTL have a lot with that potential… Byron, Gallagher, Lekhonen, Kotkaniemi?, Tatar, Armia has that potential, We havent seen the best out of Hudon, Domi, Drouin…
RRRIIIIKOLAAAA!
Curse you galaxy, you lost us the precious
Bergevin has done a good job through waivers, free agency, small trades, drafts, and decent contracts. He could build a great team if he weren't creating so much drama with the players when they start playing. Something about his personality clashes even with somebody like Pacioretty, who is as gentle as a pup. I see a promising long term future with the kids on the team right now, but then Bergevin could have more drama with some of these kids and ship them out too.
Thank you Calgary.
This is the kind of guy everyone wants on their team. Good move by the Habs…don't say that often.
Byron is a bit like Dale Weise before him, he was a ok player that could never hit his true potential but came to Montreal and something clicked, but like Weise I think Byron could never be as good as he is with MTL with another team. Weise was doing great for himself in Montreal, he should've come back rather than go to Philly, where is he now ? Byron was smart to sign this contract, he may have been able to get more from another team, if only because of the tax difference, but Montreal really is the best place for him, he has the confidence of the coaches and teammates that enable him to play top 6 minutes, something he might not get elsewhere.
I think Byron is nothing special, apart from his speed, but is a beast here, it's even better when something like that happens.
With his speed he's opening the way for everybody, defense of the other team have no other options than backing up, because once he he bypassed you, ur f-ucked.
Why are people leaving Montreal? (e.g. Radulov).. here the reason why: tax rates! Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa are at roughly 51%… Tampa.. Nashville.. Dallas.. around 36%.. this is an unfair game.. probably an un-winnable game if you can't draft a McDavid and benefit from the ELC.
As a habs fan, I love this signing because like you said Byron can score goals and he is good on the Penalty kill and also great in the shootout 👍🏻
