Honestly the only player on the ice that game that didn’t show NHL promise was Blais. Everyone else looked good.

Makes me laugh when people hate on Reinbacher. With all do respect know the game before making comments. Look at Mikola & Forsling of the Panthers for prime example

drafting Rhieno vs Michkov, and then traded the wrong defenseman. wait & see how these bad moves slow down our rebuild. I cringed at both moves at the times. First round # 5 draft picks have been a 'curse' of questionable drafting for us (and Bergevin's)

Shawn, your crazy. No doubt about it. Evan's is better than Newhook and Dach right now and Hugh's let Dvorak leave. As Marco points out, it's just 2.8 mil and his trade value will be really high if ( and I really need to empahasis IF ) Kapanen, Hage, and Xhejak work out the way we hope.
Not concerned with Reinbacher he had a mostly solid game, he’s coming along, needs ice time with good talent
Bro Flo dropped the gloves with one tough customer and did what he could. Goal for both just added icing on the cake for Simona. Congrats …these 2 are fan favorites.

Reinbacher just isn’t ready yet. He needs another year in Laval. He’s a huge talent but not ready.
Concern about whether he was ready yet. He needs more seasoning. Not saying he won’t be an effective NHLer. He just needs more reps against AHL players.
As far as Reinbacher, zero defensemen from his draft are NHL players. Heck Nemec picked 2nd from the previous draft isn't either.
What about Newhook Xhekaj Bolduc on the 4th and Andy – Evans – Gally on the 3rd line?

I think AX should be on the 3rd pairing LD – he is faster due to the weight loss.
Would like to see Florian on either the 3rd line or 4th. A lot valuable intangibles going his way
Perhaps D pairings will be Matheson-Dobson, Hutson-Guhle, AX-Carrier. Wish they could find a decent return for Matheson, which might come later in the season (December or February/March), to generate and accrue cap space
Florian could be a 4C and Jake at 3C. Winning face-offs dictates the possession game, and Bolduc would be a stronger forward with Evans at 3C and high FO%
Unless I am mistaken Slavin played pretty much right away in the NHL. Not sure that is a good comparable.
Problem with Reinbacher is that 1) he was drafted too high and 2) the Habs are a playoff team now so some fans don't have patience anymore. That some will turn to many if he doesn't have a good year. His drafting is easily the most questionable move this management group has made.
