   Hey Mike, another great informative report, thanks!

   The Leafs are a better team this year but so are the Sens! If the Leafs want to make a legitimate push for the cup they have to get substantially better than Ottawa, because the Sens will be a far greater threat to face in this years' playoffs! If they can't beat them, everything they've done is useless.

   If Ottawa forces game seven and takes a lot of steam out of the Leafs, they'll almost be guaranteed to get booted in the next round.

   They have two glaring holes that I see – They need a legitimate PP quarterback, a puck moving scoring d-man, sorry but Riley isn't that guy.

   They also need a legitimate elite winger for the top line.
   Without those two holes being filled, all Treliving's hard work will be useless.
   Matthews won't resign if the Leafs keep crapping out in the second or third round, why would he!?

   People need to stop thinking McGravy is going to come to Toronto also. I'd love to have him, who in their right mind wouldn't!! But holding back money 'in case" hurts the team this year!

   You have to focus on this year, on reality not what we wish might happen. There's no guarantee he's coming here, he may very well sign an extension yet, we don't know what he wants to do.

   If he does want to leave, maybe he wants to go to Florida! Why would he leave a team that's clearly had greater success than the Leafs to come to the Leafs who haven't made it past the second round? Because he's from Toronto? Well ok maybe.

   I just think it's too much of a distraction.

   Jarnkrok looks solid, I'd hang onto him at least till the deadline where his value will be higher and could be packaged to pull in the assets the team needs A top line winger and a pp quarterback puck moving d-man.

   They may just decide to hold onto him!

    Regarding Kaprizov, is there some secret clause where the player HAS to sign a new agreement or allow the team to trade them so they can “get something” for him additional to the actual agreement they made? Isn’t the agreement the terms of the contract that was signed? If he decided not to do a new agreement for any reason, does that imply he didn’t fulfill the terms of the contract he signed? Also, doesn’t the team then gain a bunch of money and cap room?
