Rooney was brilliant but he didn’t live up to his hype. He was meant to be Englands answer to Maradona, Ronaldo etc when he first came on the scene. I just remember that Euro 2004 when he was like what 17? And he bossed the tournament. But when he hit his 20s and he had those injuries and there was all that going on with his private life. Am sorry but at the end of his career there were better strikers than him individually. For a start I would rather pair Cantona and Van Nistlerooy ahead of him individually the all time man united premier league 11
