The 2025/26 Buffalo Sabres have stated on many occasions that they want to be a more physical, more defensive, and more difficult team to play against this season. For them to be successful in regard to that objective, they are going to have to rely on their top grinder, Jordan Greenway. Drafted #50 overall in 2015 by the Minnesota Wild, Jordan Greenway has always been a physical speciman, and he has used that throughout his career. In Buffalo he has increased both his hitting ability and his shot blocking ability. Coming off of an injury riddled 2024/25 season the big question for the Sabres this year is whether or not Greenway can comeback healthy, and become the leading grinder and exemplar the Sabres want him to be for the younger forwards.
