  1. I don't care how many top forwards you have if your goalie can't wins game then you will not make it to the finals . I don't know where's your heads at? But saying that Wolfewe would have won the cup both times only because Wolfee is the wolfman

  2. Legendary Calgary Flame Alumini Grant Fuhr sheds a single tear for the "I've never seen an Oiler number one goalie," comment. "I'm still alive. Can't you see me?" asked Fuhr through quivering lips.

  3. Wolf by far ! The kid is a stud and I love how he's so small by NHL standards but his play says it all !

  4. Wolf is solid, but the Flames don't seem committed to the sort of rebuild that could give them a chance of rekindling the battle of Alberta. I'm a Flames fan, but they're looking like those teams of the early 2010s where they didn't have the pieces to win but wouldn't let go the dream that if they just squeak in Kipper could give them a shot. Mid then, mid now.

  5. To be fair to Skinner as a Flames fan, we have a small sample size for watching Wolf and we haven't seen yet how he handles the post season. Skinner is wildly inconsistent, but when he's on, he has actually done well in some big games in the playoffs. My money would be on Wolf based off that first season, but Mason looked like the next great goaltender during his rookie season as well and it didn't pan out. Time will tell, but I'm obviously excited to see what room for growth he has.

  6. Talent wise they are a bit closer(still edge to Wolf). Skinner gets in his own head and that has effected him a ton. Wolf has ice in his veins and only plays better after an off game. It's the mental game that separates good goalies from elite

  7. you knew this will get people to comment and get you views, right? It is the joke of the day, if one can compare Wolf to Skinner. Skinner does not reach at Wolf's pinkie, and I am an Oiler. Skinner is the 'bad omen' of the. Oilers, with Skinner there won't be any cup in edmonton, and if they run all the way again with Skinner, McDavid will disappear at the end of this season, to be clear! The totally biased media-landscape in Edmonton is holding Skinner over water, being a home-boy, but he does not even deserve an NHL spot with the 'panic-style' of his goal-tending. The most interesting thing about Skinner is his hair, and that's about it. Dustin Wolf is a franchise altering goalie.

  8. One thing i like about wolf is that hes a geek for the sport too. Dude studies a lot of tape and focuses on individual player tendencies. Has great hockey IQ

  9. The analytics on the Oilers giving up the least amount of quality chances is misleading because teams scored on them on rushes and on weak shots, so it appears the defense was doing a good job. They did an awful job and Skinner let in lot of weak goals from low percentage areas of the ice.

  10. Just met Wolf a few days ago. He's excited for the new season and that he's proud to be "repping the ginger clan" (both ginger). I thanked him for making our franchise relevant again. Anyways, he has been the major part of sticking with this team through the last few years. He was so good with the Wranglers, and I can't imagine anybody else to bring us into our new arena/era.
