These comments are head scratchers. It's a rebuild. They needed a RH dman as a *building block*; they looked at Mitchkov and deemed his character to iffy. There's no other offensive player that's panned out yet. The Sabres kid is getting minutes on a bad team. They've made it clear, they are shooting for year over year success; that takes time and a loads of analysis. They've barely just begun. And as a duo, with some fortunate good picks by Timmins, they currently look like a top 3 exec duo.
Kent and Jeff are definitely on the right track. Once they have built our team to the point where the Stanley Cup returns to Montreal's trophy cabinet, they will have accomplished their mission and achieved cult status among Habs fans in Canada and around the world.

They haven't won a cup. made the playoffs once, and they might be the best the NHL has ever seen? right.
As a NYR fan,, Jeff is good but his drafting is terrible. None of rangers top drafts have worked out. Kakko, Lafrenier and so on.
Same here buddy I will do the same thing

They are good and a little lucky😊
Their team still has a lot to prove, but both Hughes and Gorton deserve extensions. Their jobs are far from over, IMHO.
