The Seattle Kraken have signed defenseman Ryker Evans to a 2-year, $4.1 million contract. Evans, a restricted free agent, had 25 points in 73 games last season and led Kraken defensemen in hits. The 23-year-old defenseman is expected to take his game to another level next season.
Evans was selected by the Kraken in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft and has shown improvement year over year since turning pro. With an average annual value of $2.05 million, Evans is set to be an important part of the Kraken’s defense.
