I love how he's so open about the schematic aspect of the game and explaining it in detail. I don't remember any Flyers HC ever getting into that to the extent Tocc will. Natural teacher. Torts treated questions like that as if you're asking about politics or religion. He wouldn't touch it with a 30ft pole.
I was doubtful about Tocchet….it's early but he's very different than my impression. I thought he'd be alot like Torts without the same level of hockey intellect. But it seems the players in general will be much happier playing for him than was true with Torts and it's also obvious that he knows a hell of alot about hockey and coaching.

Tocchet is in such horrible shape he can barely walk on his skates.
Luchanko: invisible
Bump: in way over his head
Grebenkin: okay nothing special
Nesbitt: slower than molasses (abols)
Gilbert: awful
Drysdale looks like a superstar compared to the prospects.
Zegras can put it on snooze for the camp. He has no competition.
There are no prospects. Bonk is a lard bucket. Luchanko and bonk arent good enough to make team canada world junior.
Tocchet needs a wheelchair on the ice. Tortorella can skate way better at age 67
i wish i could hear what jonesy and briere actually think of michkov when they talked to tocchet about him. i wanna know just how they word it
Focus on the interior defense and not chasing, taking the shot, appreciating Couturier. So far so good.
They need to work on transition. This team loses between the blue lines
