  1. There's nothing special about Bayern honestly, Take Olise and Kane out of that team and they're bang average. They have a pathetic bench, I mean theres absolutely no way Bayern makes it to the semi finals, NO way.

We lost because of very very tiny details, Joao Pedro's laziness and lack of pressing, Pedro Neto leaving Cucurella alone to deal with Olise, Caicedo's mistakes, He was very poor and of course Chalobah, The guy is bang average.

Losing Colwil who's excellent at making those line breaking passes was a miss and what pains me the most is that Maresca begged the board to sign a center back (Hincapie) BUT Boehly said nope we only sign attacking players here.

We take the loss and focus on the next game, Champions League Match Day 1 was a wake up call. We'll meet Bayern in the Quarter Finals and we'll deal with them.

  2. Ange still losing games from winning positions…he literally inherited a winning squad, let's not pretend Nuno wouldn't have won that game…

  3. “The league cup is a big thing for Newcastle United” – speaks volumes about the ambitions of that club.

Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup was way bigger than the league cup but the media were painting Newcastle in gold. Weird.

  4. as a chelsea fan i believe chelsea will not make something in europe we dont have Quality CBs that can handle such high intensity europe games plus the coach is always afraid of to unleash the team he is holding them back why do you bench estevao and santos and play reece james in midfield . he needs to drop to enzo fernandez in big games he is fat cant run not good in offensive at least play deep midfielder like in argentina

  5. They lost because they gave those goals away and sanchez challenged his inner cech to not make it x rated.
Enzo should have buried his chance and maresca should have made subs eariler.

  6. Beating Bayern at home in the Champiosnleague would be a massive thing. They not only hold the Record of longest streak unbeaten at home in the CL with a large margin, they show that every year. I think I only remember one loss against PSG at home last season and one against Real Madrid a few years back. There were maybe some others, butt eh fact that I cant even remember those says a lot. So it really is not a big thing to lose their.

  7. Still twisting Maresca's criticisms last season. He said the Boys were not ready to WIN the league, the media claimed Chelsea would miss out on the TOP 4.
The 2 claims are totally different l, and disgusting to conflate them

  8. Correction Simon: he blamed the media for saying Chelsea was too young to make UCL spot. He was right to say that Chelsea is not yet ready to win the league

  9. Experience was the difference between these two sides. Sort of sums up Chelsea over the last 2 years with one of the youngest squads in Europe

  10. bayern scored most their goals through chelsea mistakes.. but if your being fair bayern had more chances FOR SURE specially second half. bayern were clearly the better side on the night

  11. An injury to Cole Palmer and watch Chelsea's season crumble to about 12th in the league and no more silverware pots. . .

  12. Speaking as a Bayern München fan, before the game it was a 50/50 game for me, Chelsea is the Club World Champion so they were slightly favored for me, looking at the match im proud of our performance I knew at home we are a force and everything is possible even tho we might be in the disadvantage, coming into the season without Musiala was a huge disadvantage, but Kompany did an excellent job in getting Gnabry back in form and placing him right behind Kane. Chelsea played very well and were dangerous especially in the first half, also in the second part of the second half they could've come back. But we did a great job in controlling the game and creating many chances with Laimers immense workrate, so at the end top class performance from us, but its just the first CL game of the season, we have to improve more same goes for Chelsea. But saying Chelsea is not a favorite to win the CL trophy, after just one game is bullshit. They are just like Bayern is.

  13. And then u have Kane talking about the UCL suiting him better than the bundesliga. Why did he say that? Because the beating Bundesliga clubs doesn't teach him anything. Bayern dogwalks Bundesliga clubs every week.

  14. We only lost 2 games in along time to a brazilian side and bayern been along time since we lost like mad

  15. The frustration from me as a Chelsea fan is not losing, I just feel like the directors haven’t made the right signings that the club needed this summer. I’m sorry but for the money spent we should have a better squad.

  16. These armchair commentators, now Chelsea has to be measured by this Munich loss? wow, I assure you that Bayern will be knocked out and won't even make the final

  17. This guy changes his mind from one week to the next ,next week it will be how chelsea are brilliant because they smashed united.coyg

  18. You can say Postecoglou can't defend. He has 12 years of managerial performance that demonstrates it. He just does better in leagues where the teams don't have the capacity to deal with the flood in attack. In his last term as coach for the Australian national team, Australia conceded four of the six goals that Bangladesh scored in the first group phase. As coach of Australia he managed to concede a goal in the first 15 minutes on average and had the worst record of any coach of Australia. Forrest have tied a millstone around their own necks and have jumped in the deep end.

  19. The camera at the Alliance Arena suddenly went down to the level of the Nigerians stadium. Crucial replays were never reviewed, VAR made the penalty decision for the refree, which is against the refree being the sole decision maker on the field.

  20. Agree with Simon Justice for Palace! Also Chelsea showed nievety with some of the goals conceded you'd those won't happen all the time.

  21. Most lose to Bayern, even the elite.
Chelsea losing to Bayern does prove absolutely nothing.
Arsenal are considered one of the top Teams in the PL, sit 2nd in the League, have finished 2nd 3 Seasons running and yet the last time Bayern played Arsenal, the aggregate score was 3:2 Bayern, with half the Bayern 1st Team missing.
The time before that, with a full 1st Team, it was 5:1 and 5:1.
When Bayern have a full Team playing, not many beat them, including top English Teams.
The last 2 results against Chelsea have been 4:1 and 3:0, an aggregate of 7:1.
True, Chelsea beat Bayern when it mattered, but thy had a fantastic Team and one of the best Managers around at the time, they are far from that now.
They did well last Season, all things considering, winning that Europa Conference League and the coveted CWC, but Chelsea are a far cry from being able to take on the likes of Bayern.
What I do not understand is Chelsea buying 500 Midfield Players but completely ignoring that World Class CD and Striker that they quite clearly need.
Maybe Boehly and Co will wake up and smell the coffee…one day.
They have already let 2 Strikers slip through their fingers that they could have had and to say they need a "Commanding CD", would be an understatement.
Sadly Chelsea are far away from winning the PL and even further away from winning that CL.
