Here's my hot take and I'm sure nobody's going to like it. One of these guys (Leon or Connor) need to get traded and when they do, Edmonton will win the cup. Leon would be such a good captain on either Edmonton or another team that needs one, so would Connor. Use that money to buy a couple or few more depth players and now you have a more balanced team.

Unpopular opinion. Draisaitl may not deserve it more if you look at raw stats, but I think Draisaitl would be a better captain. Not to say Mcdavid is a bad one, but I think when Leon speaks he channels more of the fans thoughts/ how the rest of the players are feeling better than Mcdavid, I think he speaks his mind easier, and maybe because he wasn't media trained from the day he was 12, he comes off as more of a real person, and less robotic. It would be interesting if they swapped the C for this season.
