What would I give up to get Hughes? That all depends. How desperate would the Canucks hypothetically be to get something for him before he walks in free agency, and would a trade for Hughes include a contract extension? We're not giving up prospects and/or picks for a rental, but we're also not selling the present AND future for him with a seven year deal either. As for Zadina, I wanted Hughes. I hoped Zadina would bear fruit, but I didn't want him. There's a reason he fell.
Il take Ovi + 1st round pick – for Hughs & a 3rd.
I don't think Detroit has enough to give up for Quinn. I am a 62 year old Red Wing fan and have seen some many mistakes by this club. Keith Primeau instead of Yeager? I believe you would be minus after the trade. I would love it, but being realistic, I don't see it happening
