The second game of the Flyers’ Rookie Series in Allentown at the PPL Center was “bitey,” as Head Coach John Snowden described, as the Flyers rookies fell 5-2 to the New York Rangers.
PHLY Sports’ Charlie O’Connor was on the scene to witness the game action and discuss standout performances from Nikita Grebenkin and Alexis Gendron, as well as lineup updates with Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk.

big physical guy who play a big physical game…. around the net, a playmaker……BITEY. what a shame DB will keep him off the roster. Can't have big physical forwards….
Samson and Grebenkin both stood out to me. Good size and a lot of energy. Playmaking and digging
This weekend made me even more excited about the prospect of Bump and Grebenkin's chances of making the big club.
My surprise player was Samson don’t know much about him but thought he had 2 good games. We’ll see if he continues to develop.
