  1. Chris I believe the longer the term the more the AVV due to the TVM because of inflation or QE effects on the dollar over a longer term

  2. If a player goes for less term like 4 years the player is betting that there won't be a production dip in their play. If a dip happens they're less likely to keep the current salary. Strange that some of the 25-30 year old players aren't wanting the full term and hoping they'll keep playing at a high level at an older age.

  3. Kaprizov is 28 YO, if he signs a 4 year deal. Do you think he gets more then 16 mill a year when he is 32 YO?

  4. The Chris fella answered his own question. .."he's never been out of the 1st round "
There's the answer! He knows he'll get the $ no matter where he ends up. he wants to win. It's a Russian thing…
And it looks like he has no faith in Guerin figuring it out soon. Maybe he signs tomorrow? We'll see. Nmc in his contract, he holds the cards. My bet is a 2 yr deal.

  5. I believe Kaprizov wants a shot at a championship. The problem in Minnesota is that they have been mediocre for years. I believe he either wants less years so he can bounce if things don't improve or he wants to see what else the front office will do to improve the team before he signs a long contract.
