What concerns me with the Laine-Dach-Demidov line is how they are gonna look on defence. If they can't defend, I think first thing to happen is MSL is gonna bring Newhook in lieu of Dach. If the line still sucks, I would like to see them trying to work with those 2 lines, Caufield-Suzuki-Demidov and Bolduc-Dach-Slaf. What do you think?
Newhook will make a good 3C if he can get to near 50% FO rate. If Dach is game managed and missing games than Evan's moves up to 2C and Velano takes his spot as 4C when Dach misses games. Thinking Bolduc with Gally and Newhook will be line 3. And don't count out Roy yet.

With Demidov on the same line all Dach needs to be is competent. He wont be driving the line, just complimenting it.
It’s just an exciting time to be a Habs fan. Hats off to the entire organization for playing it smart.
Dach with Demidov on his wing is going to finally have his breakout season. I'm still not convinced Laine will be the ideal other winger, I think Bolduc will ultimately win that spot and make for a deadly 2nd line.

I'm very optimistic in life, but we have to face reality here. Dach is not a 2C in the League. I don't even think he is a center period.
So now we have players like Demidov, Laine, Bolduc that needs a real Center.
Whats going to happened now is that those wingers will underperformed because they don't have proper center.
Marty has already come out and said that Dach is the starting 2C to begin the year.
Marty also like everyone to be able to be competent at taking faceoffs. Gives him more options.

Bolduc may take faceoffs, but, he doesn't have to be a center. He is a better winger than a puck distributer, therefore, he will be a winger who takes faceoffs. This is the correct way to use him!
Kirby healthy is an absolute weapon. Feed him some Toradol and Cortisone and watch him become the hulk.
