Vladimir Tarasenko thought Cam Ward had robbed him of a sure goal, but the folks in Toronto saw that the puck had crossed the line and promptly interrupted play to let everyone know the Blues had scored.

  1. I dont like the interruption in play. Leaves too many unknowns. If they call that a goal and there was another goal or penalty afterwards, would those have been erased?

  2. About time, the "war room" is finally useful. But I agree with the guy below, they should also have to reset the clock to the time the goal was scored.

  3. And the NFL takes at least 5 minutes to review a play this conclusive. smh. Under a minute from it happening to a call being reversed in real time. Great job NHL.

  4. So my question is, let's say after the puck technically crossed the line, and before the replay reviewers catch it, if the other team went and scored a goal, would they have to take it back because they should have called the original goal? Or would both goals stand?

  5. this is how replay should work in every sport. refs have been losing teams games since the inception of sports, when someone in the replay booth sees something, just stop the game and make the right call…take it out of the refs hands, speed up the whole process!

  6. Then get rid of the refs
Human error is part of the game

Let lasers and cameras call the game
    [roll eyes]

  7. So I guess no point for refs. Yeah 10 years from now, there will be none. All calls will be done froma. Box with interns watching and replaying everything.

  8. Too bad the situation room in Toronto can't sound the arena's goal horn to alert everyone there that the home team had scored.
