Kings are relocating to Quebec???
Either Kempe signing, Kopitar’s last season, or Trevor Lewis 10 mil x 8 year contract.
My bet is the extension for Kempe, Kopitar announcing it’s his last season, and him handing the captaincy over to the newly extended Swedish power forward.
My guess is a big trade.

On the major announcement. my first thought was the Kempe contract.
i am not like most anxiety riddled Kings fans. i think we have plenty of time, and i do believe it will get done.
his signing was my first thought though.

If Kempe doesn't sign and Kopi is retiring, then there is only one thing to do; rebuild and start over. Byfield is not that guy, man. He's just not. He has the talent, sure, but the toolbox isn't fitting together. This is his age 23 season, and if he is still not performing up to what a #1 center is expected, then it is time to trade him or put him on the wing. I actually liked him on the wing. It fits more his style. As far as Fiala goes, he should just concentrate on being a pure goal scorer in the mold of Forsberg or Conner. Who is not tired of this guy trying to be a puck wizard and making the worst turnovers in hockey history? Go forth and score those goals, Kevin. Forget about the assists. I'm thinking if the Kings are playing well up to the trade deadline, then they could look to add a center and move Ceci and the former Duck that should not be named.
As a lifetime Kings fan up here in Canada, following Kopi all thtough his career made me happy to be a Kings fan. The Cup years (with Brown, Williams, Carter, Richards and Quick were the happiest and proudest times to be a Kings fan. Kempe and Q are the future of this team. I'm optimistic Kempe will sign long term with the Kings. 8 years/$75 million 😊
