Barkov and the Panthers are trying to become the first team to win the Stanley Cup three straight years since the New York Islanders in the 1980s.
The Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final on June 17; it was the second straight year the Panthers beat the Oilers for the Cup.

In Game 6, the Panthers led 2-0 in the first off goals from Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk.
Reinhart made it 3-0 with his second of the game before he got his hat trick — and then a fourth goal.
Sam Bennett won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

I need hockey season to start ASAP i waa 150 after the 2nd cup, i have ballooned up to 171. I need the energy from these guys and a dirty plays to get my blood flowing to exercise during the entire game. Love how happy he looks. 7 years ago none of this seemed like it would ever happen. From laughed at by the entire league to hated because now its not fair. A place no one wanted to come, to its not fair everyone wants to come here. All of a sudden so many benefits to being a Panther when it used to be the end of your career. Nice to have players and leaders not crying about maximum contracts, demanding trades, blaming the rest of the team for their failures.
If there's one team that can win 3 Cups in a row for the first time in 40+ years, it's this Cats team.
