Everyone I know was sooo excited when we brought WJ back last year because it was such a feel good story for Avs fans to bring the Condor back, and a lot of us assumed it was so he could retire. Feels weird for them to just send him off again at this point. Wonder if the Avs were assuming he'd retire too

Too funny, and shows how clueless most Avs fans are about him. If they replace Girard with Sean Behrens for the moment that pretty much DOES NOTHING. Same size guy, probably same weak attitude when it comes to playoff hockey. Actually pretty much the whole pipeline of Avs Dmen are scronny, little 5'10 175lb NOTHINGS. I hate this F**** GM so much!

A hockey team of all speed (Colorado) is NEVER going to beat a hockey team with a mix of speed, grit and size (Florida). Avs GM took the team too far in the wrong direction yet again. Can't wait for him to be fired.
