But this ridiculous post season, Florida has injured multiple players for good and got nothing. The Bennett scum move intentionally injuring Stolartz is an example that didn't even get a penalty. See how that works? And Stolartz may have a permanent injury now.
But somehow in Bettman world this is allowed if you are Florida and you need to sell seats.
Dirty play by Bouchard. Its like i said in previous videos the league needs to come in and deal with these out of play crosscheck,slashed, and elbows and so on. It causes players to lose their tempers and go after injuries. As much as everyone wants to pretend nhl players aren't trying to injure players they are they all want to win and they know they dont get many chnaces. When dri had the high ankle sprain every game someome whacked him in the ankle, mark stone with his back issues is constantly getting cross checked in the back. Their probably should be some rule about targeting an injury but i also understand its impossibility hard to judge

Oilers fan, so take this with a grain of salt: does bouchard’s stick actually touch hintz’ foot or does he just smack the ice next to as mind games? Hintz’ reaction is somewhat delayed and more of a flinch, and it kinda looks like theres some white space between the stick when it stops and the foot. Lastly, if you were a dallas player and saw that a real slash like that, would you not rush bouchard? If I’m wrong and there was contact, bouchard should be turfed for multiple games, thats not hockey.
Clearly not a legal hockey play. You can see him watching for the foot to go down first before the slash. Very different than the typical slash where you are whacking at the puck.
If all these types of actions were called then I would agree that this one play is desiring of some type of discipline, but unfortunately the league doesn't want to call many infractions and this is now in that category. So in today's hockey, this is just another play.
Even as an Oilers fan I am ashamed that Bouchard did this but I don’t think he should get seven games since suspension work differently in the playoffs
