I’m sorry to say this because he is a legend in this market but Don’s schtick is getting exhausting. Whether you agree that they “traded the right guy” or not, Miller asked out of town, was visibly checked out on the ice, and obviously did something egregious enough that removed him from the team during that ten game sabbatical in November. Loved what he once brought, especially during 23-24 but worshiping the ground that he walks on isn’t it.

Miller forced Horvat out and was on the way to forcing Pettersson out. Kind of a shame it went the way it did, but the Canucks kept trading away all the character veterans who kept Miller in check and then wondered why things went south.

First thing as to why Miller was traded is because he was more tradable. Still think the Management should have kept Schenn, or Zadorov. Both players kept both players playing. Miller had to carry all the heavy play when those other players were moved. Fans expected him to carry it all and I think a few players thought so also. Hronek is the only other player to tread heavy hard minutes. Most players we have have never played those hard games . Where lesser teams can play even or even beat us because they are more physical. Then you trade away all those kind of players and think to win with skill alone at the NHL level.. Most years this team is beat down by the All Star break.
