Horrible shot placement, no vitals there. Seeing the other side there is no exit wound, FMJ, not a hunting bullet. Try that with an expanding copper and there would be a 3" hole on the other side of the animal.
I see a lot of videos of 50 BMG used for hunting and it's not impressive for the size and weight of the loadout required to shoot it. It puts a hole through the animal and does not expand effectively.
It seems like everyone here expected the animal to explode, be cut in half, blown apart, a hole you could drive a truch through, etc. I hate to disappoint you, but it’s a.50bmg, and NOT a 16 inch gun on a battleship! This is real life. Not a video game or Hollywood movie. I even saw some folks who claimed that the bullet didn’t even pass through! Trust me, if it will pass through several feet of ballistic gel or through engine blocks, it will pass through that critter!
