The Edmonton Oilers have three key defenders on expiring contracts heading into this season with Mattias Ekholm, Jake Walman and Brett Kulak. While all are contributors to the Oilers, Ekholm did show signs of slowing down last year and Kulak is coming off a career year in both goals and points. While signing Jake Walman to extension before the season kicks off could be smart.
