Matt Duchene Traded to Blue Jackets

I like the idea of Columbus going all in this year. I can’t remember them doing that before.

  1. I understand we (Ottawa) didn’t win this deal, but everyone that’s saying we got fleeced? I don’t buy that. A 1st & abramov are not that bad for a 2nd line centre. Just my opinion. The conditional 1st won’t happen & davidson is whatever. No way in hell did I want Duchene for 8×64. I think it’s a good deal for both. Stone on the other hand, will hurt lol

  2. Torts is a tough coach. He expects a lot of of his players and isn’t afraid to say so privately or publicly. It’ll be interesting to see if someone like Duchene can handle that.

  3. Lol, there's no future in Ottawa. No one wants to sign there and therefore no future. Whats worse than a dumpster fire, because they're far more worse than just that? And go

  4. I really like how Dorion is not afraid to go full rebuild mode a lot of team just tip toe for way to long in between.

  5. In NHL 18, Columbus always trades for Mike Hoffman in year 1 and it's like almost the same package in the game that they gave irl lol

  6. Wow … now I really feel sorry for Senators fans, and all this done at the hands of one person: your freaking owner. By this time, it's safe to say Ottawa are the biggest losers of the Matt Duchene trade, and to rub salt in the wound: their original 1st round pick (looking set to be 1st overall if they keep playing like that) looks set to go to Denver. Losing Karlsson and Duchene (with Stone possibly joining the exodus) and having a PoS owner that's too cheap to pay players and toss fans under the bus cannot be good for the mental health of the Senators. You guys deserved better.

  7. Bread man, I’ll say is gone… too vested in getting the best deal possible. Management needs a win for arena issues and fan base. I feel the push to go all out was rushed ahead of schedule because of time running out. This core group of players has a window that will close soon when average players begin making too much money and the team needs results. Just my opinion. Go Jackets

  8. In my opinion Columbus brings in duchene to add a little star power and maybe convince panarin to stay, make a good push for the playoffs and he might consider signing for the next season. Bob is a different story with all the drama on the team, but who knows it’s all conspiracy

  9. IT WILL BE SO FUNNY IF THIS IS THE YEAR BLUE JACKETS WILL MISS PLAYOFFS AND NOT EVEN 1st ROUND EXIT FOR THE DOUCHE.

  10. So Sens will get into playoffs and blue jackets hit the bottom, just like last time Duchene tried going to a "playoff team"

  11. not a fan of either team but I was wondering how much did the uber ride play a factor if any in Duchene getting dealt ?

  12. Why wouldn't they wait and see if someone could beat the deal? Still 2 days until trade deadline.
