  1. Can the Bruins afford to sign Andersson to a $5mil + contract and fix their forward/scoring issue?? The only way I see that being a possibility is if they have a few guys on ELC’s or league min in the lineup which still doesn’t guarantee anything…

  2. The Bruins do have the draft capital, currently, to swing a trade for one of these players.
The bigger questions are: are the Ducks or Flames actually seeking future capital? And, if the Bruins do really want either player, can they fit him under the Cap?

  3. Honest a pertinent question, Evan (I hope you will answer!): Is Andersson really that different from Carlo?
    If yes, why so?
If not, why would the Bruins want to trade for (and presumably extend) Andersson, after trading away Carlo?

  4. Rasmuss Andersonn 200% they have nothing near ready nhl in the farm and in the NHL BIG BIG HOLE big time in the top 4….how much better? I will say this – Mason Lohrei!

  5. The Mctavish thing will never happen Ducks needs its a top 1 D and Bruins will not trade McAvoy. But Bruins have their 2C in their pipeline and the guy is Dan Locemelis, remember this! 2026 Bruins top 3 centers: Hagens, Locemelis, Lindholm

  6. Would Andersson be willing to go to Boston. He has already turned own a deal this summer to to a team that was willing to give him a solid extension (rumored to be LA)

You need to send 3 million back to Calgary in a deal. So basically you are now adding Peake to your proposal, so it is now Peake, Poitras, and a #1 pick. AND that is IF he is willing to go to Boston, which seems unlikely.. Now you are in a position where he has all the leverage in contact negotiations as if you give up that package you must sign him to an extension, so you are likely locking him in for 6 years, at 7-8 million annually to be a second pair Dman

  7. The Bruins can't trade that #1 pick next year unless it is top 5 protected. I think this team will be better than last year, but things could go the other way pretty quickly, and a bottom 5 finish is certainly a possibility

  8. No one is worth trading our own first pick for unless its someone ridiculous. A smart gm would trade our other accrued 1st rd picks. If we were to trade our own make them top 12 protected. FAs we might have a chance at are Conner, Necas and maybe Kempe but hes only if he wants out of LA as they can afford to pay him. A Rasmus deal would need a contract extension before the trade, i dont care what the assets are.
