The New Jersey Devils 2025-2026 season is about to begin!

The players will report to Training Camp on Wednesday September 17th.

Preseason begins Sunday September 21st when the NJ Devils host the NY Rangers in their first Preseason matchup.

What are the lines going to be for the season?

Where will Arseni Gritsyuk play?

In this video I discuss my thoughts on the potential lines for this New Jersey Devils club.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

  1. It will be interesting to see what line combinations are seen as most effective with brown, Dadonov and Gritsyuk in the mixed.

  2. Not to bring up Luke again, but it was mentioned at the beginning so it's relevant: training camp is in less than 2 days as of this video. Sooner needs to be now and any later is too late.

  3. I thought starting off, or maybe later on, we see Gritsyuk and Dadonov share a line. Don't know too much about either styles of play, but they have the Russian connection, so Dadonov could be an NHL mentor to Gritsyuk.

  4. Keys to Mercer and Cotter is developing playmaking. Both their assist numbers are painfully low thus far in their career. That is what has kept them out of top 6 or 3C role so far in their still developing careers. Got to figure at least one of these two progresses, right?

  5. You lack some basic hockey knowledge. T. Thompson is a Center🤦‍♂️ And he would be an ideal Middle Brother replacement. This team needs Kaprizov. By the way he's gonna end up at the Rags

  6. Actually decently excited with our depth this season, no idea why Fitz went out and signed like 5 guys to league minimum (Lammiko, Crookshank, etc.) like for sure just looking at this lineup not really any spots where you go hm that’s anyone’s to steal it’s all pretty solid and you can realistically get scoring from each line. This season really is ours to lose, I’m pumped, ecf or bust.

  7. I think Lachance will end up playing in the A’ for most of the year and then gets called up for injury.

However, next season I think he’ll definitely be on the roster especially with the rumors that this will be Dadonovs last season

  8. With the injuries this team receives, I don't think you'll see any set lines for very long. With the exception of two parings (Jack/Bratt – Nico/Timo) everything seems up for grabs. Wouldn't it be nice to have a couple of steady lines to carry us through the season and deep into the playoffs….

  9. I for one am so sick and tired of seeing Palat on the first line. I like him I do but he’s too “old” and “slow” to be with PB&J. My lines would be…
    Cotter-Jack-Bratt
    Mercer-Nico-Timo
    Gritsyuk-Brown-Noesen
    Palat-Glass-Dadonov

  10. Bring Macleod in for a look .
He was playing his best nhl game when he got shutdown and he will come in on the low low !! Just do it!!

  11. Ace, I agree I would love to see Shane LaChance make the team as a center…(I was impressed with his faceoff wins last year at camp) but if the Devils were entertaining the notion that he be a 4c, I think they would have played him at center in the recent Tournament.

  12. I am eagerly awaiting the start to hockey season! Not really a fan of Palat. He is overpaid. However, in the playoffs, he does earn his pay. I am hoping Gritsyuk turns out to be like a Scott Stevens..man at 18. You never know.

  13. I hate that I am feeling so negative/not pumped, but in the last 3-4 years I was hyped coming out of the sunmer and it didn't really translate very far in the season– so who knows.
