Sennecke is acting like a petulant little child, I said it for you.
He doesn’t need to be a leader he just needs to focus on playing his game and discipline. Why does he need to be a leader so early when there should already be leaders in the locker room. He’s only eligible for NHL play at this point and he should be learning from those leaders not trying to lead
Senneke can't demand anything. He needs to mature and humble himself.
Beckett 56 GP, 36G, 86pts. 86 points is tied for 14th in the OHL, so a good season, but not dazzling at all.
Misa a year younger 65GP, 62G, 134 pts.
Protas 61GP, 50G, 124 pts.
6 OHL players over 100pts.
He as next to no chance making the Ducks.
Still stunned we took him 3rd
What's a bit concerning to me is that I'm not sure about the pure star power in the team. There's a lot of good quality (2nd/3rd line) prospects but I don't see a clear top end one there. I feel like we need a true nr1 prospect, a guy that can score 80-100+ points on a regular basis. Toronto has Matthews and Nylander (and had Marner), Dallas has multiple at minimum 80+ points guys (Robertson, Johnston, heck! even Rantanen now,), Vegas now has Marner, Florida has Barkov, Tkachuk, Reinhart and so on… Someone I bet on would be Leo Carlsson, but he gotta take a step this upcoming season (hoping for 60+ points). Just saying that I'm not really sure if some of them Carlsson, Gauthier, Sennecke or McQueen can produce 80+ points on a regular basis season after season 🤷. Same goes with the defence, LaCombe had his year and looks promising, though I still really don't see that kind of top end nr1 defenseman (think Hedman in his prime, Hughes, Makar, Fox,….). I had hopes about Mintyukov but so far he's been a bit of a disappointment for me.
To clarify, I'm definitely not an expert (still pretty new to hockey) but this is just my take.
