The only way the leafs get further than the 1st round is the goalie tandem. This team is not designed for playoff hockey still.

I think they payed a steep price for him. Minten will probably win 5 cups now and the will go down as another horrendous trade for the Leafs. I’ll be half way to retirement before the leafs have a first round pick again

Carlo was a good pickup. But the Leafs d core is rather thin. Especially when you look at their prospect d – men in the system. Thus, in the playoffs, they will get exposed all over again and their limited depth will end up hurting them as they are forced to depend on players like Rielly who is taking on a much bigger role on the team then he can really handle because the other guys on the team are more or less role defenseman rather than guys they could depend on to step up and play minutes outside of their usual roles.
