Can the Sabres endure the injury to Luukkonen?
News broke today that Sabres netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen reported to camp with an injury. It is reported as a “tweak” but it was obviously serious enough that the Sabres went out and signed Alexandar Georgiev off the street. The context of the injury to Luukkonen changes the whole discussion about the Georgiev signing, as now, instead of potentially serving as a back up in Rochester, Georgiev may have an opportunity to play real NHL minutes as soon as Opening Night to the 2025/26 season agains the New York Rangers. What will come of all this?
