NHL free agent defenseman Chase Priskie is headed to Russia after signing a one-year deal with the KHL’s Sibir Novosibirsk. The 29-year-old South Florida native has four games of NHL experience with the Florida Panthers in the 2021-22 season.

Priskie was a sixth-round pick by the Washington Capitals in 2016 but did not sign with them after graduating from Quinnipiac in 2019. He spent his first two full professional seasons in the Florida Panthers’ system before splitting the 2022-23 season between the AHL’s Rochester and San Diego.
