Our defense is a fucking joke. I knew it was bad but 12 goals in two playoff games is absolutely embarrassing. The fact that this was the response to getting shelled in game 1 is laughable. I am fucking embarassed for them! Where the fuck is the damn passion! Where's Matt Martin when u need him. Martin's gotta do some real good damage next game. Slewfoot a couple of dudes when the refs aren't watching and draw the ire of the Bruins and draw some penalties. Take out Marchand. Boston is just gangbanging Toronto physically. Not sure if Toronto can't match the dirtiness or that if they try to match, they'll throw their own game off. WHen the confidence is back, the scoring will quickly follow. In fact, after the first Leafs goal, they were more confident and it was quite obvious.
since the entrance of the top prospects and rookies, the team attitude towards game loss has always been a naive style: "it's just our off nights, the puck didn't go our way and we'll move on for tomorrow". Great teams are always led by a unit of individuals who work their game to perfection, take responsibility and improve wherever possible. Now the young leafs are realizing all their regular season undisciplined style of playing does not work in the playoffs and now that there's zero offensive and defensive team strategies, they have nothing left but pitifulness. Leafs fans and media always hype themselves up every season for no legitimate reason, it only sabotages the hockey club into thinking "we are always good enough, no need to worry". Leafs need a great coach with personalities like Spurs' Popovich. To be fair I never like the constant mixing up lineups that Babs have been doing. it takes time for a specific line of teammates to grow chemistry and be in sync. Players always having to adjust their playing styles isn't a good thing to do either. this leafs team isn't even as strong as the 2013 one. God help the leafs!
The Leafs are a good team what a dopey reporter question.He asks Why do you think you can come back ?. umm they had 105 points this season and they hold a winning record against the Bruins. The Leafs are a better team . Only difference is Bos has more playoff experience.
