Kirill wants a shorter term deal and to win a cup. He wants that assertion for the future, because the Wild as of now are not a Stanley Cup contender.
Maybe he wants go to Chicago???
Florida is an example of the TRUE stars working together for Stanley Cups… To win cups the players take less.

I figure its one of 2 things… 1. He wants out of Minn. He's not saying it, but going on the open market he can then choose where for himself… or 2. He wants a shorter term deal because if the cap is going to do what's predicted… that would allow him in 3 years to get a way bigger AAV..

The Mild do nothing to protect Kaprizov. Dec. 30, 2023 he gets a cheap shot up in Winnipeg that puts him out of the lineup for Multiple games. The next day Dec. 31st in St. Paul there is a staged fight to start the game to send a message?? The Meek and Mild did not go after the player that injured Kaprizov in either game. So much for “the code” in hockey as far as Minnesota is concerned.
The team does not have the grit/toughness/size to survive in playoffs when the Refs swallow their whistles.
It’s not all about the $$$ Kirill’s agent is looking out for the overall best interests of his client which includes being on a team that has a chance to win AND protects it’s star players!
That is on Minnesota’s Management and Coaching Staff. A culture of “Minnesota Nice” and turn the other cheek!
And look the way billy g has constructed the roster a bunch of 3rd and 4th line guys.
What about the Fans ? What's going to happen when top players on a team are making more than double what there making now? How about the fans that loves to go to a game with there families and it going to go up almost double to watch a game in the arena? Guess what no more families going to the arena's . I hope there greed destroys the NHL because no one will be able to afford the see games.
They gave him nothing to play with this whole time…move on
If I were Minnesota I would not give Kaprizov more than four years term. Been injury prone and not done anything in the playoffs yet. Guy is top ten player in the league but still has some proving to do imo. And Minnesota does have some cap space now and will add a few good players this season. Billy goimg to earn his paycheck this season or else.
They offer him the richest contract in NHL history and he turns them down…As a Minnesota fan, I am deeply disappointed by both Kaprizov and Minnesota management. I say let him go. It's too much to sacrifice for just one player and then end up stocking the rest of the team with "okay players" because they can't pay the really good players with Kaprizov's contract. Let him go and get really good players and firm up the lines and defense. Time to start talking about a cup in Minnesota and not just the highlights of one player.
please dont sign him to more…..just trade him and get more bodies(better) He sees no cup here.

For years, those stupid Parise-Suter contracts hamstrung the team from building a stronger roster. Without that b.s., it might have changed the Kaprizov drama that’s currently playing out and maybe he’d already be signed to an extension.
Can they install yearly increases so he doesn't leave money on the table? Is it possible he wants to see if Guerin can finally bring in finishing talent? Minnesota has no 1C, they have played almost 100% AHL Lifers on the bottom 6. Maybe he feels it has been status quo year on year. Very little increase talent wise on this roster from last. Bill needs to get his 💩 together and make tge team much more attractive. NOBODY…I MEAN NOBODY CONSIDERS MINNESOTA A DESTINATION AT THIS TIME!!!

128M is money for top 1 or 2 in the league. Kaprizof is nowhere near #1 or 2.
