Michael Misa’s entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks is official, marking a new era for the team’s future. This dynamic dual-threat center brings exceptional skills and a machine-like motor to the NHL, drawing comparisons to top prospect Macklin Celebrini.
JD Young breaks down Misa’s impressive OHL stats, including 62 goals and 72 assists in 65 games, and analyzes his potential impact on the Sharks’ lineup. The discussion explores how Misa fits into San Jose’s long-term plans alongside Will Smith and Celebrini, potentially forming a formidable center trio reminiscent of the Edmonton Oilers’ McDavid-Draisaitl duo.
Young predicts Misa’s rookie season trajectory, from starting on the third line to potentially playing 18-19 minutes per game by season’s end. He also shares insights on Misa’s summer training with NHL players and his living arrangements with Tyler Toffoli’s family.
Tune in to hear why Misa’s signing is “100% the right move” for both player and team, and how he could reshape the San Jose Sharks’ future.

The episode we were all waiting for is finally here! This season is going to be fun to watch! 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
Been waiting all day for this, let's gooooo SHARKS!!!!!
Can’t wait to watch the rooks take it to anaheim tomorrow.
Sharks PR and social media should be planning the "boy band" poster with Celebrini, Smith, Misa, Eklund, and Dickinson.
You were right all along JD. You have been saying this since he was drafted. But he hasn’t made the team yet, but I sure hope he does!
I think that when he starts on third line he’s going to do a bit better than smith because of the much more heavy focus on the top 2 lines with macklin and smith, last year when the season started even on the third line smith was one of the bigger threats on the sharks but misa isn’t going to have to worry abt that this year with a better top 6 in front of him
Excellent getting it done and adding another incredible talent. We're realistically still a lottery team but stepping up the talent will age very well. If we miss on Gavin McKenna in next years draft I'd love to see us add Keaton Verhoeff to our Blue line
I suspect Igor Cherynikov will be working hard with the Barricuda to reunite with Michael Misa
Dickinson should bunk with Dan Boyle!
