  1. Benoit is a 6/7th d man and makes $1.3 million. He’s fine, but whether we keep him or not is almost meaningless. Enough of this narrative over reality BS, this is how we ended up getting Laughton as one of our “key” acquisitions at the deadline. We have 3 left handed d men. We have have our top 2 right handed d men sorted out. If we make a move on the backend it’s a minor one and for a depth right handed guy to play at the bottom pairing. OEL can play the right, but he performs significantly better when on the left.

We aren’t going to bring in a guy that hampers our ability to acquire an impact forward. Anybody suggesting otherwise has rocks in their head

  2. Doesn't expect that to be it for the forward adds ?

A vague statement with no names or dates… means nothing..

    No sheet..
Unless Leafs organization is folding in a year.. Contracts end and need resigning or replacements..

Or is the Leafs organization not folding,,, and they found the fountain of youth , so their current roster can exist and play for next couple centuries..

  3. Lets just cut the crap the Leafs are starting the season with the team they have no one wants Kamph or Jarnkrock just buy those guys out and let them go or put them on waivers

  4. Lets cut to the chase. Move out Kampf, Jarnkrok, Robertson, and Reilly! The Leafs roster needs a top 6 forward and 1-2 d-man with offense, more size, and grit. Toronto must be "TOUGHER" this season to compete with the Panthers!

  5. Not a CHANCE Tree and Farris have a good relationship! Not a single chance.. Listen to who said it. A guy trying to sell his FA'S by using Toronto media!

  6. Keep an eye on LD/RD Mario Ferraro and C/LW Alex Wennberg and C/RW Tyler Toffoli and RW Bryan Rust and C/RW Rickard Rakell and W Alexey Toropchenko and C/RW Michael McCarron and RW Josh Anderson from trade rumors link to leafs in trade rumors and keep Andreas Athanasiou and LD/RD Matt Grzelcyk from rumors link to leafs as PTO Tryout targets if true or not we will see?

  7. Leafs signed a bunch of bottom 6 plugs. They're going to be really flat. Knies will be the highlight this season. Stolarz will ensure we make the playoffs by a hair. Matthews will struggle to hit 30 goals. Hopefully, we let Cowen play instead of burying him in the AHL. Try not to trade him for an aging, injury prone veteran at the tdl.

  8. If Connor isn’t signed by start of the season…..Hoping Trev is going to make sure there is plenty of cap next year for McJesus.

  9. There is a reason Jarnkrok, Kampf and Robertson haven't been traded yet. No one wants them. We are stuck with Robertson because he is arbitration eligible and will be arbitration eligible next season too. They can't simply let the contract run out. Kampf has 2 years left on his contract and it's Jarnkrok's last year as a Leaf. In the short term if the Leafs need to make cap space to get another player they can send all 3 down to the Marlies. That means they would have to clear waivers so maybe 1 or 2 of them may get picked up by another team. If they clear waivers the Leafs will save $3,450,000 in cap space added to the 1.9 they currently have.

  10. Remain available in trade?????
my goodness that is a lot of nothing.
It is a pretty static situation in Leaf Land.
The Leaf's are a playoff team but not a contender and have not been a contender in the last ten years. They are worse than they were last year.
