Skinner’s performance over the past three years has been impressive, with 92 goals scored. Considering that the Sabres ranked 23rd in goals last season, it is clear that they need more scoring power rather than less.
While Skinner may not be living up to his $9 million salary currently, trading or buying him out would create cap issues for six years.
