What Guelph’s Decision on Jett Luchanko REALLY Means for the Flyers 🚨

The Guelph Storm just named their new captain… and it’s NOT Jett Luchanko. Flyers fans, this changes everything.

In this video, we break down why Jett wasn’t named captain and what it could mean for his future with the Philadelphia Flyers:
🔹 Is a blockbuster OHL trade coming?
🔹 Could Jett jump straight to the NHL sooner than expected?
🔹 Will a potential CHL–NHLPA rule change open the door for him to join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this season?
🔹 Or… did Guelph just think Charlie Paquette was the better captain right now?

This decision impacts more than just the Storm — it could shape the Flyers’ rebuild strategy, prospect timelines, and the entire 2025 season outlook.
If you want the full breakdown on what’s next for Jett Luchanko and how it affects the Flyers’ future, this is the video you need to watch.

  1. Guelph is not a good place for development. He might be their best individual player but to add the stress of being captain is not what he needs at age 19. He needs to improve his on-ice skills, not locker room voice. Needs to jump into the AHL to get exposure to face older, bigger, stronger, & more talented players. His time for the NHL will happen quicker than we realize.

  2. Bring him up. Tired of letting these kids sit down in the minors. I understand why they do it, but as a fan it’s frustrating.

  3. Could be something as simple as you said, Luchanko might not be on that team. He might actually might make the roster or go play on Guelph a while and for Lehigh Valley? it's anyone's guess.

  4. there is talk if Jett may not make the Flyers he may play in the AHL this season so have to see
