Thanks. This is our best rookie camp in years and maybe ever. So much to pick from for few spots. Will be fun.
I would be fine with either one as a short term solution. Both have 2 years remaining on their contracts at affordable cap hits. Would rather have Zacha who's only 28 over O'Reilly who's 34 but both guys check off all the boxes in what the team is looking for. Both guys are big, strong, gritty centers with some physicality to their games. Both guys are left shot centers who win faceoffs. Both guys are very good two way centers and penalty killers. Both guys are very good in their own end and would be able to insult Laine and Demidov on their line. Both guys can give you 20+ goals and 50pts to 60pts.
Go for Zacha, he is what we need
I am not a mike matheson fanboy , but I think you underestimate his trade value
Zacha for me as well , imo they would want Struble , Beck & Roy or 2nd rd pick instead of Roy . Maybe even Dach in there somehow. For Zacha i would definitely be in . He s exactly what we are looking for
It wouldn't be the first time Bowman messed up.
Go for Ryan O'Reilly.
Wait that Boston trade for Mctavish sounds like total bs to me. If that’s what they are asking the Habs can beat that easy and I’d slam dunk that trade.
Awesome video! I sent you a DM on instagram for business 🙌🏻
if ducks want picks for mctavish? done. we got 2 2nds this year….which is essentially one late first round pick. so our 2026 1st, 2 2026 2nds an their choice of owen beck or kapanen. i think thats too little…but im willing to do a first an hage for mctavish as well.
Zaccha is a great get at that cost. Reasonable. Maybe a third rounder.
Dobes played extremely well, idk why he’s catching strays. Kahkonen is a poor performer at the NHL level.
oreilly seems more realistic than zacha. hes also a better player an brings leadership. had a good season. i want him. id do roy, beck and a 2nd. zachas points are attached to playing with a top 5 nhl forward in david pastrnak. ~60 pts playing with pasta on the first line an first pp unit is very weak imo. pasta had 100+ pts back to back with zacha as his center an zacha never managed more than 59 pts.
When’s the last time you seen a trade basically 1 week before camp opens? Doubt there’s a trade anytime soon.
Ok stop just stop 3 players for 1 there's no way that's happening, maybe kapanen and a 2 rounder, MAYBE , you don't touch Roy he's a very good prospect , newhook, kapanen we're not winning with these guys so I'm giving them with mesar at the very most !
We need the blackeye brothers in montreal asap , they gonna be running the streets
Roy is not an NHL player! He’s a lifer at the AHL level just like Primeau! Guy has a bad attitude and is slow as hell out there
I’d give both our 2026 and 2027 firsts for Mctavish ! Get it done Hughes!
Yes for Zacha n not O'Reilly cause he's too old.! Comon sence.
Like ur channel very much ! Excellent! Wats ur gut feeling on HABS getting Zaccha ?
I've been asking for O'Reilly and it still haven't changed. Though the names offered and reasons given.. I don't think Roy value is that high.
Also O'Reilly salary is a bargain… I think it's a matter if he wants to play in a city like MTL or even Pred(rebuid or not) want to trade him.
Also O'Reilly a natural center.
First thing gonna look check if Fowler can handle AHL/NHL shot and coral rebounds.
Mesar has 2 years left on his contract, no need to move him until next year if he doesn’t improve his play and drive.
Injuries and acclimatizing may have slowed him down but he has no one else to blame if he doesn’t bring it this year
No player will fix the Habs.
They are a small team following a leader with zero experience.
