Right now, NHL Hockey fans are clinging onto McDavid watch. In this video, we talk about the entire situation & why McDavid would either want to stay an Edmonton Oiler, or test free agency.

  1. And the SC window is closing faster and faster, in fact it's barely open. That's for Oilers because if possible, they just got worse during off season. Connor needs to move on from this trash franchise to a better one, non-Canadian one and triumph.

  2. I swear to god McDavid is gonna pull some “if you can’t beat them join them.” And join the panthers

  3. McDavid to the Sharks. Book it bud. Young upcoming core. Shit ton of cap space. Team isn’t an instant contender right this second and has yet to win a Stanley cup ever, would not be a wuss move. Come on down to the 408 McDavid. (I’m just kidding but that would be an insane move lol anyways go sharks!)

  4. He is past his prime. Oilers cannot pay him $16 million a season and expect to win. Every player at the age of 28 has one maybe two good elite seasons then they hover around 100 points , so paying $16 million a season for 100 points doesn't work especially for a player who is not a complete player. Gotta play defense to win. And McDavid is clueless in his own end aka Barkov two rings to McDavids zero

  5. Connor McDavid will NEVER win a cup, nor will Leon
i dont care what you all say on how good they both are n points you all miss and ignore the bad.
lazy players supporting line mates going back, give up the puck resulting in goals more than the rest of the team combined and so overwhelming unaccountable to there own bad actions its insane.

NEITHER deserve the salary they get, and neither deserve a C or A on there shirts. both greedy for money and attention but if they wanted that attention they should take a pay cut help build a better D and 3rd and 4th lines and help win a cup by being accountable

and you lightweight clown world so called fans should 100% stop blaming the goalies, i wouldnt wanna play for this team either and ever goalie the team has had since these 2 arrived have gone from being good to bad due to always being blamed for loses and dumped on ever chance you fools get as you hate to see the truth about CM and LD, i could on and on but NA so called fans wouldnt understand

  6. I disagree about Cup being non-negotiable for all time greats. That's just an opinion, it might be a very common one, but it's just one opinion.
No one can ever guarantee to win a trophy in a team sport by individual effort. There is always enough 'damage' the other team can do (in combination with the teammates' mistakes), to undo anything a single star can produce.
Fans want what they want and wish for, of course, nothing wrong with that. But a true greatness is only about the skill and impact a team player produces, regardless of whether it leads to medals and trophies (although it often does, as great players typically play for good teams).

  7. I am really not an expert when it comes to the salaries, I never compared those numbers, but when Leon got his deal, I immediatly thought they could get into troubles when it comes to team depth due to some very expensive contracts.
Not to say they aren't worth that money, but it does make it hard to create a roster with enough depth and talent to win.

So the question would be: if you stay, do you want the team to be good, taking a bit of a lower contract, or do you think because you are one of the best (which is true), you want that money but that could come with the issues the Oilers already had the last two seasons seemingly.

Most people would not like to earn less money, on the other side players like McDavid should have more money they ever need already, if they use what they have with a bit of care.

But I am curious what happens, personally I would like to see these two win a cup, if you look at talent and skill, they sure would deserve it

  8. It's not the cup thats missing its his heart his killer instinct he quit 12 min left 3rd period scores last goal head down no team pump no emotion next to games bounced from the cup an he was further away he don't have the Brady gretzky Jordan killer gene generational talent maybe champion heart I never seen Brady Jordan bird magic quit in the championship

  9. I think the best chance to straight out win is to go to Utah… as absolutely stupid as that sounds.

Lots of young talent, lots of cap room, one or two year deal on the cheap side, and the team can use its cap and draft picks to fill out the holes.

  10. Does he want to win or does he want to get paid… After a 100Mil contract I would gladly kiss money goodbye.

  11. Man I really hope he wins a cup. As someone who celebrates hockey history… and sports history really, nothing does a great superstar more of an unfair disservice than no rings. And he’d go down as the greatest athlete ever in team sports never to win
