Igor is #1, hands down!! Even Cory Schneider says so. Context matters & Igor played behind one of THE worst D's in the NHL last year. If he was on the Oilers, they win the Cup. I remember the first time I saw Igor play as a 17 yr. old in the Canada-Russia November Jr. Series, which no longer exists for ridiculous geopolitical insanity. Canada totally outplayed Russia in that series, but the Russians won because Igor was other worldly! What really impressed me was his puck tracking ability. I was really stoked that the Rangers had drafted him. He's one good LD away from another Vezina. The guy who disappears in the playoffs for the Rangers is Panarin, who seemingly can't function in tight checking, very physical games.
With that contract Igor should score goals on a regular basis 🏒
