He CAN be. But, he needs to increase his effort level.
Of course he has to earn it but they need to give him a chance in the Top 6 because he has the speed and skill for it but it’s all about effort and he won’t be able to shine if he’s in the bottom 6 so if he doesn’t work in the top 6 then I think it’s time to move on from Reichel unfortunately
I think this falls under "Catch-22." He needs to show he can play higher up, but playing on the fourth line doesn't create the opportunities he needs to show he can move up. Hopefully, with a new coaches, and the big shake-up in his summer training, he'll finally get his 💩 together. Here's also hoping he bought a few spare phone chargers while he was at it.
The fact that the Blackhawks top 6 are so bad that Reichel is even in the conversation says it all.
I don’t know, but you’ll never know until he gets a proper chance to get comfortable in a consistent top six role.
